Camping Vacations in Panama

Camping sites has always be a solution for lodging when it comes down to reaching remote paradises. After years of hard work, I have been able to obtain a piece of paradise that I would like to share with you.

Throughout the years operating tourism, I have been able to experience some of the best beaches in the country. Some say best beaches in the world...

Different perspectives of tourism have been analyzed and shared by other tour operators from around the world. The one thing they all tell me is a great country but the most interesting is that " Panama is full of culture "...

The perspective is, if you go to Ibiza, you might find white sand beaches, nice hotels and a lot of night life... After 3 days, it might be hard to feel attached to locals or its culture...

In this section, I am exposing a little different perspective than the usual white sand, the usual crystal clear water, etc... I am exposing a piece of heaven with a little cultural touch, world class fishing, diving and surfing opportunities.

Furthermore, this could turn into a STRONG cultural and ecological experience!

Bocas del Toro Accident

Some times you dont expect to spend money on traveling to get hurt! Las year I had a call from Bolivar Andres who invited me over to take some shots of Manuel and Gary over at Bocas del Toro. I took the first flight out, had the tiny breakfast that the airline offers and landed in Bocas at 8 am. By 9 am I was in the water and took some shots, at 12 I was feeling really bad, low pressure, etc. could not scream enough to tell my friends that I was feeling bad, had no energy. Next, a boat shows up and as soon as he approaches me "I was sitting on a Panga Boat" I step up and try to avoid boats from crashing, well, they did and my toe was in the middle. I LOST MY NAIL COMPLETELY AND CRACK MY TOE! OOUCH!!

Some NEGATIVE results after Paunch Session!!! Ouch!
Got my toe smashed crossing from Bolivar's Panga to another one!!!
Entire nail out! big crack in the middle! I am actually taking 1 shot per day until its cured!

Panama Bocas del Toro Surf - Bluff - Paunch

I am back! Its been a hell of a beginning and ending of year! As some of you guys might have read before, I am a Panama tour operator and right now its high season so this means working with other services such as a Bocas del Toro surf camp at red frog, list of people coming in, schedules, dates, programs, luggage, drivers, buses, planes, yachts, sailing, hotels, logistics, boats and anything you can imagine in this country’s daily activities in tourism in general.

Last time I posted some pics was for the yearly North swell at my dad’s house. December came in and BOOM! work came in as well. Its not until now that I am able to breath a bit.

When that swell passed, more NE swells started hitting the Atlantic Coast of Panama. I decided to take a new-year trip to Bocas del Toro with my friend Diego Salgado who is now second time National Surf Champ. Its always fun to travel with this guy! He is now in Hawaii with my other friend Bill Pfeiffer who is an experienced surf filmmaker. Too bad I could not make it on this one guys!

During the Panama surf vacation I was able to take shots at Bluff, Carenero, Curve and Paunch of which I am only posting 2 of these areas since I left my hard drive at home.

Here is a bit on the Bocas surf scene then;
